Within the Patient Care section of the Profile tab of the Beatrix System (Beatrix.yale.edu), you can manage the articles that are associated with your profile on YaleMedicine.org.

The following instructions will provide help for managing the YaleMedicine.org Articles associated with a profile.

These instructions assume you have navigated to the Patient Care section.

You are tagged in articles on the Yale Medicine website based on your Specialties and Sub-Specialties, which you can learn more about managing in the following instructions:

 

To begin managing your Yale Medicine articles, go to the YaleMedicine.org Articles section, which looks like this:

Fact Sheets on the YaleMedicine.org Articles page.


News Articles are more accessible articles about Specialties and Conditions, while Fact Sheets are more medical and clinical deep-dives into specific conditions.

These articles and fact sheets are automatically added to your profile, but you can suppress them (remove your association to them) by toggling the green/red button to disable/enable these articles from displaying with your profile.

Fact sheets follow and use the same toggle interface.

When disable a fact sheet, you will be asked to choose a reason you do not want to be associated with the article. This will help our with quality improvement to the data associating articles with your profile.

  • You can pick from the options in the drop-down menu, or choose Other and manually type in your reason.

  • Once you have chosen a reason, click Disable this Article

 

Clicking on an article will take you to the article on the Yale Medicine website. You might not appear in the top 3 suggested specialists (highlighted in yellow below):

 



 

However, if you click More Related Specialists, you can find your profile in the longer list (highlighted in blue below):

 



 

Once you are done reviewing your News articles and Fact Sheets, click Return to Patient Care in the left navigation to return to the Patient Care section.
