The Schemas and Templates section of instructions provides information on the different Content Schemas and their associated Templates, organized into categories to make it easier to find information based on the task you have at hand.

The following page is a comprehensive list of those content schemas and templates in one place (sorted alphabetically), with links to the more detailed instructions and sections of instructions.

Content Blocks and Layouts/Schema

In the following list:

  • The left column shows the Content Type or what you select in the Schema menu when creating a New Item.

  • The right column provides a description of the content item, as well as the different Layouts available for the component, which you choose from in the Layout menu when you add the component to a page.

Additionally, in both columns, there are links to detailed instructions on both content items and layout options.


Banner

Instructions: Call to Action Banners

Description:

Used as an enhanced option to display content or links to external sites.

  • Can be a solid color selected from dropdown or an image with a color overlay.

Description:

Used to display contact information in a separated box on a page.

Description:

The most widely used component. Used for creating basic text and compiling paragraphs on a page.

  • Also used for call outs on the side and summaries.

  • Can include images in summary and full templates.

Digital Signage Configuration

Description:

Used to manage the settings for touchscreen displays.


Description:

Used to maintain a list of podcasts to display on a site as a podcast archive.

Description:

Used to highlight and display a single event or event occurrence.

Description:

Used to create a link to an external URL with a title and introduction text.

Description:

Used for Lab Sites, displays as side column call out with information about director of lab.

  • Organization must already exist in Faculty Profile System prior to use.

Description:

Used for FAQ sections of site, functions like a "drop down" menu.

  • Each FAQ question must be included on a FAQ List.

Description:

Typically used on "Directions" or "Contact Us" pages.

  • Inserts Google Map of location and/or organization onto page.

  • Organization and Building ID’s must already exist in Faculty Profile System prior to use.

IFrame

Description:

Used to enter code directly onto a page.

Typically used on "Directions", "Contact Us", or "International Activity Pages".

  • Insert an International Activity Map of locations by inserting the Org ID from the Faculty Profile System.

Description:

Used to create Buttons or Link Lists, linking to other pages in the site or external content.

  • The Button templates are the only way to insert an individual Link component on a page.

Used on pages that feature multimedia content without text as a means of featuring a title on the page or assuring that the page has an H1 tag.

Description:

Used to create organized listing of publications, such as annual reports.
