How to Subscribe to a Calendar

Many users want to subscibe to a calendar so that they may see them in their personal Google or Outlook calendars. The YSM calendar allows users to do so using a standard ical feed.

 Instructions from GOOGLE Calendar

  1. Click + next to "Other calendars"

  2. Select "From URL"

  3. Paste in the URL of the ical feed. To retrieve the URL for a medicine.yale.edu calendar ical feed:

    1. Visit the page with the calendar

    2. Right-click the "download the calendar" button

    3. Select "Copy Link Address"

  4. Click "Add Calendar"

 Instructions for calendar clients that will import an .ics feed such as Apple calendar

  1. Scroll to the bottom of the calendar page

  2. Click on the blue button “Download the Calendar”

  3. Go to the Apple Calender

    1. File Menu

    2. Import

    3. Select the calendar to add the events to or create a new calendar.
