Profile Organizations

Beatrix.yale.edu allows you to manage various types of information associated with a person’s profile.

The following instructions will explain how to manage and edit Organizations for a person.

To begin managing Organizations:

1. Visit https://beatrix.yale.edu.

2. Log in with your NetID and password.

3. Click People in the main navigation.

4. Find and select the profile you want to edit (see Edit a Profile for more information).

5. Click Organizations in the navigation on the left side of the page.

Organizations, Departments, Programs & Centers

The Organizations page displays the departments, programs, centers, labs etc. that a person is associated with in Beatrix. Generally, the departments and sections are supplied by Yale’s HR department.

You can expand each organization in the tree to see what sub-organizations the person is a member of and whether the profile is set to display as part of that organization.

Please note that the departments and programs are generally supplied by Yale’s HR department.

Canonical URL

In the Organizations section, you can choose the website you want to be used for the profile’s primary URL.

• This URL will appear as the top result for your YSM profile in search engines like Google

• Use the drop down menu to select the website you want.

• In the example shown below, we selected Yale School of Medicine (Yale University) and these are the results:
