Newsletter Side Column Content

Side column content can be used to create a more dynamic message and convey supporting content for your email newsletters. You can add side column content to almost any type of section in a newsletter issue. To add side column content:

  1. Add a Section to your newsletter and populate it with content, per usual.

  2. Find the “Add Side Column content to this section” toggle, and turn it on

  1. Once you turn on the side column for a section, three options will appear:

    1. Text + optional link allows you to add a brief, supporting note to your content which can link to further information on the web

    2. Video allows you to add a link to a video on the YSM website, either hosted in Beatrix Media Library or from an third party video tool like YouTube or Vimeo

    3. Photo Gallery allows you to add a link to a photo gallery on the YSM website. For this feature to function you must have the web version of your newsletter configured on medicine.yale.edu. Reach out to ysm.editor@yale.edu to set this up if it isn’t already.
