The header area is essentially the introduction of your article

Content Header

Overview

The Content Header feature allows editors to select how the article’s header media is displayed, which can be an image or video. Editors can choose from several predefined layout options.

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. In the article editor, locate the Header section under Article Content.

2. Choose one of the following layout options (radio buttons with visual previews):

   • Square Image

   • Landscape Image

   • Portrait Image

   • Full Width Image

   • Video

   • No Image

3. If you select Video, a tooltip will appear explaining that the video will remain visible as readers scroll through the article, if they are using a larger device.

4. Only one layout can be selected at a time. The editor preview updates automatically.

5. If No Image is selected, the header will display a colored background based on article type, with no media.

6. Complete the required header media upload or embed as prompted.

Key Points

Overview

Key Points provide a concise summary of the article’s main facts or takeaways. You can add up to five bullet points, which appear in a visually distinct box above the article body. This feature is available for all internal article types except Opinion pieces.

Key Points are optional, so skip them if you don’t find them helpful for your article.

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. In the article creation module, find the Key Points field (above the body content).

2. Click Add Key Point to enter a new bullet point.

   1. Bullet points will not appear in Beatrix while editing, but they will appear on the published article and preview.

3. Enter your text (plain text only, max 200 characters per point).

4. Use the Add New Point button to add additional key points

5. Once you’ve entered Key Points, you can sort them using the drag handle (6 dot icon).

Listen to Article

Overview

The Listen to Article feature uses Azure’s text-to-speech service to generate an audio version of the article. Editors can enable or disable this feature via a toggle. When enabled, an audio player appears at the top of the article, allowing readers to listen to the content.

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. In the article editor, locate the Listen to Article toggle.

2. By default, the toggle is set to enabled (on).

3. To enable the feature, ensure the toggle remains on. To disable, switch it off.

4. When enabled, an audio player will appear at the top of the article for readers, with standard play/pause and mute controls.
