News Privacy & Private Tags
News privacy settings determine which news can be suggested to recommended organizations in the news management tool. Furthermore, the privacy influence on the appearance of the people's profiles if people are tagged in the news.
Changing news to Private news will prevent it from appearing on any organizations other than those you explicitly add (Explicitly Suggested Organizations).
People cannot be tagged in Private news articles. If any profiles are already tagged in this article, they will automatically be removed.
Securing an article
You can now add an additional layer of security to an article. Articles can be secured to the following groups:
All Net ID
All YNHH
Custom Security Groups managed in Beatrix
Private Tags
Private tags will not display anywhere on the website. However, you can still use these tags to filter news or event listings that appear on you website. The purpose of private tags is to create listings on the website that are limited by some arbitrary criteria of your choosing, for example "YCSC Featured."
