Faster removal of unpublished content from search engine results
When pages (such as CMS pages, news, events, or Yale Medicine content) are unpublished, our sites now signal to search engine crawlers and other bots that the page has been intentionally removed. This should result in pages that are removed from the website disappearing from search results provided by Google, Bing, and other search engines faster.

Improved “Key Points” readability in news articles
The font size for the “Key Points” section in news articles has been increased to make them easier to read without changing the overall page design.
Added“Last Updated” dates on Beatrix-powered pages
Pages that display content from Beatrix (such as news, trials, events, media, newsletters, and profiles) now show a meaningful “Last updated” date based on when the underlying content was last changed, helping Yale staff and visitors understand how current the information is.
CAS-restricted videos now prompt for login: A fix was applied to improve user experience for videos restricted to a Yale audience when included in publicly-visible news articles.

“Schedule an appointment” button on Fact Sheets
Yale Medicine Fact Sheets that have related specialists now automatically display a “Schedule an appointment” call-to-action to make a clear call to action for prospective patients.
Profile pages without photos no longer show placeholders
For Yale Medicine profiles that do not have a headshot, the empty placeholder image is no longer shown, resulting in a cleaner, less cluttered appearance.

Enhanced newsletter sidebar image option
Newsletter editors can now add a single image in the sidebar with a customizable title and description. The title and description are pre-filled from the image’s details but can be edited for each newsletter.
Top Stories now support periodical articles
Editors can now feature periodical (formerly print publication) articles in the Top Stories area on the News Landing Page.

Improved workflow for selecting multiple media items
When uploading media while creating a media list, you are now automatically taken to the “My Media” tab so it’s clearer which items were just uploaded and selected.
Additional download format for “Publications by Organizations”
On “Publications by Organizations” pages, there is now an additional “Download Word” option alongside “Download Table,” making it easier for authorized users to generate and share Word reports. Ideally this option will eventually replace custom reports created by our Engineering team.
Import publications by DOI
When manually adding publications to profiles, you can now import records using a DOI.
