Periodical Issue Remediation steps for upgrading to T5 Periodicals

When transitioning a T4 Periodical to a T5 periodical, please review the items below and make edits as needed to any existing issues in the Periodical to ensure a cohesive experience for users browsing older issues in the new Periodicals layout.

1. Issue Theme: not required, but you can choose which theme (dark or light) better complements the imagery for the issue.
   
   

2. Intro text and Gradient: Intro text is optional, so it could be left out of older issues, but if you would like a consistent appearance and have suitable text, you could add it to previous issues.
   
   

3. Hero Image/Video: This is technically optional, but hero images are a prominent new feature of the issue landing page and it may look odd without one.
   
   Suggestion: Use a crop of the cover image (ideally the original image before cover copy was added) for the hero image.
   
   

4. Review Article Thumbnail Crops: the updated Periodicals layout uses new aspect ratios for thumbnails. Review the issue landing pages to check the crops. Fix the thumbnail crops for individual articles in Beatrix to correct the issue landing page display.
