News and Profiles

The News and People Profile System (profile.yale.edu) allows you to manage various types of information associated with a person’s profile.

The following instructions are about the News articles associated with a person in their profile.

To manage the News articles associated with a profile:

1. Visit https://profile.yale.edu

2. Log in with your NetID and password

3. Click Profiles in the navigation at the top of the page.

4. Find and select the profile you want to edit (see Edit a Profile for more information).

5. Click the News button in the navigation on the left side of the page.

Clicking News will take you to a new page called Your News where you can see the list of articles you have personally entered into the profile system, if any.

• These articles display on organization and people profiles that have been tagged in the article.

• They do not display on your personal profile unless you are tagged.

To submit a news article, click Submit a News Article in the left navigation.

If you click on News You are Tagged In in the left navigation, you will be taken to a page called News you are tagged in.

• This page contains a list of articles that have been tagged to your name (these will show up on your profile website, shown below).

• You do not have access to edit the articles, but you can remove your tag or suggest the news to be listed on an organization’s website by clicking the trash icon or the “suggest” icon to the far right of the article title.

News articles you are tagged in appear in the News section (green) in the News tab (yellow).
