You can insert images into the right column of your page without having to insert them into a content component. This option is useful for pages that do not include content components.
Before you can add Images to a page, you must upload them to Tridion as Components.

This section of instructions will provide information on how to add a Standalone Image to a page in Tridion.

Adding a Standalone Image to a Page
After you have uploaded your image(s) into Tridion, go into the Root folder of your publication and open the page on which you want to add an image.
Click the
Component Presentations
tab at the top of the component.Click
Insert
at the bottom of the tab.Select the image you want to insert and in the Component Template menu, choose
Standalone Image
.Click
Insert
to add the image to the page, thenClose
to return to the page.The order in which you list your images is the order that they will display.
When you uploaded the image into Tridion, whatever you entered as the caption will appear on the page and when a user clicks on the image, the caption will appear in the popup window.
Save & Close
your page when finished, then publish your page.

Some information from when you uploaded the image shows up in this template:
Whatever you chose for Photographer in the images Metadata is displayed in this template (highlighted in yellow above).
The Title you entered for the image when uploading it displays as the main text for the image in this template (highlighted in blue above).
The Caption is the final piece of metadata that displays in this template (highlighted in green above).
