Clinical Trials in Tridion

Tridion allows you to list Clinical Trials on your website using the Clinical Trials components.

Rather than adding new clinical trials to your site adhoc, using the different Clinical Trials components will pull in information from the Clinical Trials System in the Profile System, a function much like the News Listing and PubMed Feed.

This section of instructions provides an overview of the Yale Clinical Trials System as well as information on creating Clinical Trial Listings, Clinical Trial Searches, and Clinical Trial Highlights in Tridion using Profile System data.

Overview of the Yale Clinical Trial System

Yalestudies.org displays information about all clinical trials actively recruiting at Yale. Potential participants may express their interest in specific trials or in categories of trials.

Trial information comes from clinicaltrials.gov and is tagged with categories and PIs by Yale Staff.

Clinical trial information may also be displayed on other Yale websites through a web service provided out of our system.

  • By consuming the web service, departments can list all actively recruiting trials on their website by PI or category and include detailed descriptions of those trials and a way for volunteers to express interest.

The other option for adding Clinical Trials to your page in Tridion is with the Clinical Trial Search function.

Category Filter ID List

You may want to filter the Clinical Trials in your Search or Listing by a specific Category.

 

Clinical Trial Highlight

If you want to especially highlight one trial, you can add a Clinical Trial Highlight to your page in Tridion.
