Beatrix: Permissions by Role

What are the differences between “Admin, Editor, Contributor” permissions in for organizations, news and events and other functions managed in Beatrix?

Organization Profiles

  • Admin:

    1. Can add/remove/change display status of members

    2. Can edit member profiles

    3. Can add/remove/edit contacts

    4. Can add/remove/edit locations

    5. Can add/remove/edit teams (formerly known as display groups)

    6. Can edit Patient Care (ym.org) info

    7. Can edit social media

    8. Can manage comment groups for document listings (e.g. digital poster presentations)

    9. Can add other organization admins and editors in Permissions

    10. Can remove other organization admins and editors (but cannot remove self as admin!)

  • Editor

    1. Can edit member profiles

    2. Can add/remove/edit organization contacts

    3. Can add/remove/edit organization locations

    4. Can edit Org Members

  • None

News

  1. Admin

    1. Can create/edit news articles

    2. Can suggest news articles to any org

    3. Articles submitted by user are automatically “approved” for orgs with admin access

    4. Can approve/reject news articles suggested to org

    5. Can search for news articles in system and add to org

    6. Can add other News admins and editors

    7. Can remove other News admins and editors (but not self!)

  2. Editor

    1. Can create/edit news articles

    2. Can suggest news articles to any org

    3. Articles submitted by an Editor are automatically “approved” for orgs with editor access

  3. Contributor

    1. Can create/Edit own news articles

    2. Can suggest news articles to any org

Calendar

  1. Admin

    1. Can create/edit calendar events

    3. Events submitted by user are automatically “approved” for calendars with admin access

    4. Can approve/reject events suggested to the organization

    5. Can search for public events in system and add to organization

    6. Campus Group Subscription

  2. Editor

    1. Can create/edit calendar events

    2. Can suggest calendar events to any org

    3. Can search for public events in system and add to organization

    4. Events submitted by user are automatically “approved” for calendars with editor access

  3. Contributor

    1. Can create/edit own calendar events

    2. Can suggest calendar events to any org

  4. None

Newsletter

  1. Admin

    1. Can create/edit newsletter issues

    2. Can publish newsletter issues

    3. Can preview newsletter issues

    4. Can add other Newsletter Admins and Viewers

    5. Can remove other Newsletter Admins and Viewers (but cannot remove self!)

    1. Can preview newsletter issues

Print Publications
