Clinical Trials

Yale conducts hundreds of clinical trials which go through a rigorous vetting process handled by Yale Center for Clinical Investigation (YCCI). The Office of Communications is provided a feed from OnCore that integrates to Beatrix which allows for clinical trials to display on YSM and Yale Medicine websites.

How are clinical trials displaying on YSM websites?

Clinical Trials are integrated in OnCore, Yale's Clinical Trials Management System (CTMS). OnCore is designed to lessen the burden on investigators and research staff, so that conducting research is organized and efficient.

Principal Investigators (PI’s) and trial staff should be familiar with the OnCore process and working with YCCI for trial recruitment.

Checklist for ensuring trials will display:

  1. Contact Web Services at ysm.editor@yale.edu to ensure that you have a properly built feed on a YSM webpage.

  2. Provide our team with the URL where you are expecting or wanting trials to appear.

  3. Provide HIC#'s for all trials that should be reflecting on the webpage

Rules & regulations

In collaborating with YCCI, the Office of Communications has established key regulations that MUST be followed for trials to be represented on websites.

  • Trials can be represented on a YSM or YM webpage, as long as they are not soliciting patients/volunteers

  • If the content does solicit volunteers, the trial must be “Open to Accrual” in OnCore and set to display on YSM websites

If the trial is currently in any OnCore status aside from “Open to accrual”, contact oncore.support@yale.edu to figure out what must be done to move forward

If the trial is open to accrual in OnCore but in “Needs Review” Beatrix status, contact Tamika.hollis@yale.edu
