Edit Organization Members and Locations on YaleMedicine.org

Editing the members and locations for organizations displayed on YaleMedicine.org is slightly different from the instructions provided for the medicine.yale.edu academic websites. Text and video instructions are below.

Members

To add or remove members from your organization, visit the Departments section in the preview version of the YaleMedicine.org website. Navigate to the organization you want to edit.

  1. Click the blue Edit the Members and Locations button. This will open the organization's page within the Profile System.

  2. Click Members & Leaders in the left navigation

  3. When enabling a clinician to display on the Yale Medicine website, they may already be a member of the organization, but not set to display on YM. To set a clinician to display, click the YM toggle next to their name so it’s enabled (screenshot above).

    1. Please note only users who have up-to-date credentialing information with Yale will be eligible to appear on Yale Medicine. If a person who should display on YM does not have a YM toggle at all, please contact ysm.editor@yale.edu to troubleshoot.

  4. To add a new person: If the clinician is not yet a member of the organization at all, click the Add New link at the very bottom of the membership list. Type the person's name and select them from the drop down. Click Add.

    • If the organization is an academic department, you will not be able to add new members because school and departmental membership is imported from Workday. Please contact ysm.editor@yale.edu to troubleshoot.

  5. To remove a person:

Locations

To add or remove locations, click the Contacts & Locations button in the left navigation (once on the organization's page in the Profile System).

  1. Add any additional details specific to your organization's location, such as office name, suite, hours, or phone numbers. Note that the only Phone Type that displays on Yale Medicine with a location is “Appointments.”

  2. In the Type drop down, select either Clinic or Hospital. These are the only two types of locations that will display on the Yale Medicine website.

  3. In the Building field, search for the location by building name or address. Select from the drop down.

    • If the location does not appear when you begin typing the STREET ADDRESS in the search field, please email ysm.editor@yale.edu to request a new location. 

  4. Add any additional details specific to your organization's location, such as office name, suite, hours, or phone numbers.

  5. Click Add when finished.

To remove a location, click the ‘trash can’ icon to the right of the location.

To edit a location's details, click the 'edit' icon to the right of the location.
