Add CampusGroups Events to YSM Calendars

CampusGroups is software used primary by student groups at Yale to share events. Often, we may want to include these events on School of Medicine websites. So that these events do not need to be rebuilt in the YSM Profile System, we’ve added the ability to import them directly into YSM calendars from CampusGroups.

Please note you will not be able to edit CampusGroups events in Profile System. Any incorrect event details must be corrected in CampusGroups.

 

Add a CampusGroups Event to Your Calendar

  1. Once you’ve accessed the Calendar tool, click on Search for Events in the left navigation.

    • This will display a list of all events in the system.

  2. Click the Only external check box in the filters panel to view only the events imported from CampusGroups (red outline below).

    • You can also just search normally.

  3. Any events in the list that are imported from CampusGroups will have a green “External” label in the list (yellow outline below).

  4. When you find an event you’d like to add to your YSM calendar, click the expand arrow to the left of the event title (light blue outline below).

  5. Find the calendar(s) you’d like to add the event to, and click the Add to Calendar button (purple outline below).

    • The event will be added to your calendar.
