Page Titles

Page Title components are most often used when your page has limited and/or no text, but features multimedia content like image or video galleries. They can also be used within a page when you want to break up text from multimedia content inserted in the center area of the page.

The following instructions provide information on creating a Page Title component and adding it to a page via Tridion.

Creating and Adding a Page Title Component

Open

Creating a Page Title component is simple.

1. In the Building Blocks folder of your respective website, select New Component (highlighted in blue above) in the Create tab (highlighted in yellow above) of the navigation bar.

2. Choose Page Title from the schema drop down menu.

3. Enter the title of your page.

4. If appropriate, add a subtitle, an image, or intro text.

5. Hit Save & Close in the Home tab of the window for your new component.

Once you’ve created your new Page Title component you can add it to your page.

• Navigate to the page you want to add it to in the Root folder.

Inside the window for the page you want to add your Page Title to, click Insert in the Component Presentations tab.

• This will bring up a pop up window, showing the Building Blocks folder for this website (shown below):

When you're ready to insert this on your page, choose Content Full, Content Summary, or Content Summary with Overlay from the drop down menu (highlighted in yellow above).

After you select the right option for the page, click Insert to add the component to the page.

Navigate back to the window for your page, hit Save and Close, and you're ready to publish.
