Video: Single Items, Lists, or Galleries

Video galleries or lists are used frequently for Grand Rounds web pages.

This article will demonstate how to add one or more videos to a page.

How to add a single video to a page

To do add a single video to a page you will create a Media content type either from your page or in the content folder.

See Beatrix CMS Basics ) for guidance on creating content items.

  1. Create Content and select the schema:

    Use the Media schema

  2. Click Add new and then select the video from the Media Library or upload an item.

    Add new video item to your Media schema.

  3. You will be prompted to add or customize metadata for your video.

  4. Select your layout view for a single video.
    The options include:
    • Video Banner
    • Video Highlight
    • Video Player (Main Column)

Media Lists

  1. To include a list of videos on your page you will create a List - Media.

  1. Name your list and select the videos from the Media Library:

  2. Select the Layout view for your media gallery. The options are:
    • Mixed Media Gallery
    • Mixed Media Gallery with Details

 

  1. Click Create Content to save the list and Publish.
