Honors

The Beatrix System (Beatrix.yale.edu) allows you to manage various types of information associated with a person’s profile.

The following instructions will explain how to add and edit the Honor of a person for their profile.

To begin managing the Honors for a profile:

  1. Visit Beatrix.yale.edu

  2. Log in with your NetID and password

  3. Click People in the navigation at the left of the page.

  4. Find and select the person whose profile you want to edit (see Edit a Profile for more information).

  5. Click Honors in the navigation.

Honors

  1. The Honors section allows you to add relevant awards as they would appear on your CV.

  2. Click the Honors button in the navigation on the left side of the page.

  3. Navigate to one of the following types: International , National , Regional , Yale School of Medicine , Yale University , Other , Unknown, Hospital System.

To add a new honor, click Add New... and the following fields will pop up:

Adding an honor or recognition. Required fields are starred.

 

Fill out the following information to add an Honor or Recognition (*indicates a required field).

  1. Award Name*: Enter the name of the award.

  2. Awarding Org: Enter to name of the organization that gave the award.

  3. Award Type*: Use the drop down menu to choose the best description of the type of award from the options below:

    • International Award (Awarded outside the United States)

    • National Award (United States only)

    • Regional Award (Region in the United States only)

    • Yale School of Medicine Award

    • Yale University Award

    • Other Award

  4. Country*: Select the country of the award. The answer from the previous question will change the available choices here.

    • For Example, if you chose International Award, use this drop down menu to choose the country of the award.

    • Any other choice will automatically populate this field with the United States

  5. City/State/Region*

  6. Public Display toggle. When enabled this will display on your public profile. If it is red it will only appear on your CV.

  7. Honor Dates*: Choose the date you received this award.

    • If you received the same award more than once, add the multiple dates by clicking Add New... in this field, as opposed to adding the award separately multiple times.

8. Click Add to add the award to your profile.

 

The award will be sorted into the corresponding category in the Honors & Recognition section, based on the answer for Award Type.

The new award has been sorted into its group, based on the answer for Award Type and Date.

 

You can see the different lists, based on the answer for Award Type by scrolling down the page.

You can edit or delete the award by clicking on the title. 

If an award is set to Public, it will appear in the Achievements section section of the profile (shown below). It will be mixed in with the profile’s professional activity and sorted by date.

Awards appear in the Achievements section.
