Biography

Beatrix.yale.edu allows you to manage various types of information associated with a person’s profile.

The following instructions will explain how to manage and edit the biographical information associated with a person.

To begin managing the Biography:

1. Visit https://beatrix.yale.edu

2. Log in with your NetID and password

3. Click People in the navigation.

4. Find and select the profile you want to edit (see https://ysmweb.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/HELP/pages/1702395932 for more information).

5. Click the Biography button in the navigation on the left side of the page.

Professional Biography

This section is for briefly describing the background, interests, and achievements of the person the profile is associated with.

• This section should be 10 sentences or fewer.

• You can elaborate on the biography in the https://ysmweb.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/HELP/pages/1732936402 sections.

• Yale Medicine members will have five additional questions to answer about patient care.

Changes made to the Professional Biography will show up in the Biography section of the profile (highlighted in yellow below):

Organization Biographies

Organization-specific biographies are bios associated with a profile that only displays when the profile is shown in a listing for a specific organization.

All of the organization biographies associated with a profile are displayed in this section.

If you would like to edit an organization-specific biography that is appearing on a profile, please use the Request Edit button (shown below) to submit a request with the Web Services team.

YM Patient Care Biography

The YM Patient Care Biography is the biography that displays in the Yale Medicine patient care website profile. YM Patient Care Biographies are written in collaboration with the YM Content team.

• If your profile is displaying on the Yale Medicine website but you do not yet have a patient care biography, this section will display a short survey that will help the YM Content team get started on your biography.

• Once you fill it out and submit it, the YM Content team will be in touch to work with you on the biography and finalize it to be published on the Yale Medicine website.

• If you already have a YM Biography and want to request edits, please email ym.content@yale.edu.

Physician Summary

The Physician Summary is a short summation of your work as a clinician that appears with your profile on the Yale Medicine Clinician Search interface. If you want to request edits to this, please email ym.content@yale.edu.
